Blessings

God promises to pour out blessings on his people. These blessings may be material, success in studies, but his primary blessings are spiritual blessing. For example, even though  Abraham was weathy, the blessing given to Abraham [Genesis 3:14, that counted most was justification through faith. God does not promise his people unending health and wealth or success. In fact, the Old Testament saints often experienced the opposite, and New Testament  contains numerous predictions of suffering for followers of Christ. We experience a unique peace and joy in the daily moments of our lives, even while surrounded by trails and sufferings, and in the end we receive God's eternal blessings stored up for us, the blessings of etrenal life in God's community of perfect love and justice.
